Viva Las Vegas

I have a couple of really nice friends in Las Vegas. One of them works at the Cannery Hotel producing and managing shows. Once a year or so I get to go to Las Vegas and I am always fascinated by the fun and the "money" in that desert town! I guess there is good and bad stuff in Vegas but I am sure there are millions of dollars made every day there to afford all that entertainment.

Last time I was in Las Vegas was for the Paul McCartney Concert. My first live exposure to one of the Beatles!

But you can't talk about Las Vegas without mentioning the Casinos. There are many reasons why gambling can be bad for you especially when it's done in excess and if it affects your savings and your family. And when it becomes an addiction and you're losing! With moderation and in the spirit of fun, I guess gambling can be just like going to Disneyland except with gambling, you don't want to be taken for a ride. There have been stories of many off-shore casino that don't pay their winners or claim foul when it's time to pay. There are also laws trying to prohibit online gambling which is being thought over Freedom Of Commercial speech rights, etc. Google seem to still show online casinos in their index, of of which is 888.com. There a lot of speculations about the legality of online gambling. But it seems to me that these sites generate a ton of traffic and many top affiliates involved with promoting casinos seem to be making a lot of money. I think in a year or so, the courts will make a decision whether people can or cannot gamble online. Obviously it is a huge market with millions and milllions of dollars to be made and being made. Gambling and the Adult sites are very big business all over the world. No wonder the most searched for words on the Internet have to do with both. Paris Hilton for example continues to be one the most searched for keywords according to WordTracker.com
But why? I think the media has a lot to do with motivating people to search for certain keywords. Whenever a big story breaks out or there is some even or fuss over a celebrity, related keyword searches seem to follow by the millions. One way to see this in action is to go
to time-wasting but fun http://googlefight.com where you can see how two keywords fare against each other.

Gambling Affiliate Marketing Handbook

The thing with online gambling is that people do make money, sometimes Big money. But they also lose money. That's why it's called "gambling". But there is another aspect of online gambling: top affiliates are making a killing promoting various gambling sites. But like most affiliate programs, there is more to it than just signing up and putting a "buy me" link on your web site. I have found that there is a lot to learn from these expert, super affiliates in the gambling business. First, they deal with big money. Second, these guys are pretty sharp about web site promotion, marketing, sales and...ahem...getting rich on the Internet! If that's something you are interested in, I think you can learn a lot too from this one good resource.

One thing I've learned about gambling sites (Although I am not a gambler myself... in fact, I don't even know how to play cards!) is that they have their act together when it comes to superior quality materials and programs!

I think you'll find it worth your while to look at this Report. This report also offers interesting statistics about the business of being an affiliate.

1,000 Different Ways To Make Money...

Ebay And Traffic

There is a lot of talk about Ebay and there are some 433,000 people who are allegedly making a living off ebay actions. It's hard to imagine most savvy marketers have not yet opened an account with Ebay. If you haven't, click here now.

When I had a little extra time in my hands I went on Ebay and tried to sell a few things. I ended up selling over 49 items, successfully. Take a look at my feedback on Ebay just for those items.
So I made a little money but enough to be convinced that Ebay does work and for some, it works wonders. I always admired those Power Sellers who have sold 6,000-10,000 and some over 30,000 products/transactions on Ebay. That's simply amazing. But I also noticed that the power sellers are selling more than 49 items. Some of them have literally 100's of products for "buy now" or "auctions" at a time! So I figured that if I wanted to make money off Ebay, I'd have to do the following:

1. Find out which products sell the most. Why waste time with loser products, right?
2. List lots of them at a time due to competition
3. Get the lowest price possible for the item, or get it free whenever possible
4. Increase customer trust by having an ever increasing array of "positive feedback"

See my feedback here.

So how do you find out which products sell the best? There is an excellet Ebay market research program that does just that! Try its free version here. It will tell you who and what is selling on Ebay.

I also have one excellent source of wholesale product dropshipper that's unlike any other.
Take a look. If you are serious about selling on Ebay, you ought to check this company out.

One feature on Ebay that can help you get additional traffic and even indirectly promote some of your other sites is located on your "about me" section of your Ebay profile. You can insert links to your other sites in there. Many buyers will click on your about me profile to help them decide if you are trustworthy or not or to simply know more about you or your company.

One trick you can use to drive Ebay traffic to your site is by changing your ebay ID. You will notice that mine is *www.affiliatesplaza.com* instead of joeblow or some nickname nobody cares about. Many powersellers will use the name of their retail company or website domain name for name branding. I just chose *www.affiliatesplaza.com* as one of my other sites. Notice the "*" before and after the name. That's the only way to get an ID like that but it's worth it. You can change your current Ebay ID anytime.

I summary, you can drive additional traffic to your site by modifying your about me profits, your Ebay user ID and of course, adding a plug to your site on your auction page itself. See Ebay's rules and policies. They don't want you selling stuff off your site through their auctions for obvious reasons.

Ebay is profitable for many but I must warn you: it's a dog-eat-dog place if you want to make money. If you are a buyer, stay away from those "Private ID" auctions. In my opinion, they are generally fraudulent, using fake bidders to drive the prices up. I have decided to get serious about selling on Ebay and I am doing market research to see "what" I want to sell there. I am looking and sorting the best, high selling, high demand products and services which to me, is the only way to go. I am also going to stay away from low-ticket items. They are great if you are a newbie and want to increase your feedback ratings but they are lousy if you want to make several thousand dollars off Ebay auctions. Volume and prices are key to make big bucks on Ebay. One of the best educational resources for people who are serious about changing their financial future through Ebay is found right here.
